Day1: Fly to Kisoro – Transfer to Lake Mutanda

Your journey starts from Entebbe International Airport where you will board a domestic flight to Kisoro, a town located in the south-western part of Uganda, close to the borders with Rwanda and Congo. Please make sure you check-in 1 hour before the departure time listed on the flight ticket that we provide for you.

Gorilla Tracking is the main highlight of a visit to the southern parts of Bwindi Forest, but you are also in the perfect place for volcano hikes, birding, nature and culture walks and canoe and paddle board excursions. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

Half of the world’s population of gorillas live under the mist-covered canopies of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforest. In the company of an experienced park ranger you will be tracking the whereabouts of one of the nine habituated family groups who reside here. Encountering the rare and endangered Mountain Gorilla of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is an experience of a lifetime.

You will get up early to prepare for the gorilla trekking. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. As an alternative to gorilla trekking, there are several walks that can take you. The Mubwindi Swamp Trail takes about 3 hours and goes through parts of the park where there are elephants. Another 6-hour hike leads up to the peak in Rwamunyoni to 2.607m.

Day 3: Fly from Bwindi to Entebbe

You will fly from the beautiful Bwindi National Park to Entebbe (Entebbe Airport). In the evening you will drive to the international airport or have an option of going on a city tour in Kampala or visiting the Botanical Gardens in Entebbe.
